The European Gateway provides access to information pertaining to European Union matters, as well as a great deal of community information that is dispersed amongst various public and private entities.
Basically, two types of information sources are accessed:
- Official information – including all documentation and information produced by the European Union, and promulgated through the Europa server;
- Unofficial information – electronic resources pertaining to European matters produced by entities other than the European Union.
